Class is in Session!

Ok girls, I didn't forget about you. I did my friends make-up for her wedding. True confessions, **a tad* nervous because ... well it's a big day, but she is sooo beautiful and I figured that I couldn't ruin her!!!! I asked my friend Hope, from MAC at Naples, for some pointers and for help picking out the colors. **Side note ladies- if you need help go see Hope, she is wonderful! She is one of the make-up artist that helps at Diva night!!!** Anyway, I found out that youtube has an assortment of make-up "how tos", so I thought I would share. This one is from a MAC make-up artist, doing a smokey eye. If you ask me, MAC knows eyes! Also check out the eyes on the ladies at Diva Night, Vavava Voom! Enjoy!

Two in a Row

00013f

Surprising I know. Two blogs in a row for the boys!!! I just coulnd't resist writing this next blog. I found this link when I was researching for my last blog. I think it is a brilliant site for guys. It is from GQ and it shows how to buy the perfect suit. Every guy should have at least one, and from my experience that "one" doesn't fit right. Heres a video and a sneak peak. click here to go to the site.

Looking Sharp

87396_bl8041_fa07_m_2

Ok, Guys this ones for you!! Here is a breif tutorial on how to be prepared for your Sr. pictures. Get out your legal pads, its time to take some notes!!!

1. Have FUN. The best pictures we get are the guys who are having a blast. If you are comfortable in your own skin its obvious whether your laughing or stoic. Not sure what to do and nervous? Relax, if you aren't sure how your doing or a good pose.....ask us! Crazy I know. We are the professionals and are more than willing to help you come up with some good poses. So don't stress and have fun!!!

2. Bring everything you own. This is where our Sr. girls usually get an A+, and our guys....well struggle. The more outfits you have, the more we can help you!

3. Shave carefully! I know that its easy to miss a spot here or there (well actually I don't shave my face, but I can imagine). Make sure that you don't miss right under your lips, your jaw line, or your manly mustache! Plucking your Uni-brow is included here!! Sorry, but pain is beauty!

4. Bring a great pair of jeans. Darker wash, no holes, not too tight, not too loose.

5. Button-up collard shirt (and tie). There is something about a guy in a button-up shirt with rolled up sleeves that gets me everytime. Ask any girl. One of the reasons we love weddings so much is because the groomsmen always end up taking off the jackets and rolling up their sleeves. Need I say more ladies??

* Not sure if you are going to get an A+ when test time comes around?....Asks for a review session. Let us know about any questions you have, well be happy to help!

** I just threw the first guy in there because I thought he looked nice.

Hang on Sloopy!

Ohio

Seems like everybody from RedBox is out of town this weekend. So I (Allison) am sitting in the airport waiting on my flight home. Turns out that Ohio is one of the top 10 coolest places in the US, who would have thunk it? This was my third journey to Buckeye Land, and my favorite! I feel like every place I have been to in OH has been totally different: Lakeside, Columbus, and Bainbridge. The trip started out in Columbus, the land of malls. There is one mall that is like Coconut Point, but even better! It is basically the Mothership for those who like to shop. Once Cass, my best friend, was done showing me around Columbus, she took me to her hometown, Bainbridge. FYI a hollow (pronounced hollar) is like a valley. It was pure wonderfulness. Everything was so beautiful and natural. Living in FL we tend to forget what untouched land looks like. I went to a Mennonite market and bakery. I think everybody needs to experience a Mennonite bakery! Cass made fun of me because I smelled every baked-good in the place. One word- Yummmm! Highlight of the trip, Cass got married. I think I danced every song but 2. A little tired, but I now feel better about eating all the great food!

Cass's wedding looked like it should be out of a magazine. Every detail was perfect (if you know Cass you are not surprised!) Congrats Cass and Justin! Hopefully Cass will forward a couple of pics so that you can see what I am talking about!!

Trent

Yesterday (I know I'm quick to blog this one) I got to do a short session with baby Trent. Trent is the type of little boy that makes you want to have lots of little boys. He is ADORABLE, sweet as can be, and as far as I know never cries.
