[Voice Lesson's from a Pro: Lauren Wiley]

I am always amazed at how many of our high school senior clients are artists.  We have photographed so many visual artists and performing artists.  I can understand drawing in the visual artists but it is so wonderful to have photographed so many budding starlets as well.  I am so excited to introduce you to Lauren Wiley.  I have recently had the opportunity to hear Lauren perform as well as get to know her and she is not only an amazing person but a world class singer/performer.  Lauren recently moved to Southwest Florida after touring the world performing in various shows.  She is now offering vocal lessons in the area and I wanted to let you all know about her.  Here's her bio:

After graduating from the University of Alabama in 2004 with a BA in Theatre and a Music minor, Lauren E. Wiley has been working professionally all over the United States and abroad. Based out of New York City, she has played in reputable regional houses across the country and starred in several musicals such as Les Miserables, Cosette, and Showboat, Magnolia. Other leading roles include Ophelia in Hamlet, the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, Val in A Chorus Line, and Evelyn Nesbit in Ragtime. In 2007, Lauren originated the title role of Emma Bovary in Madame Bovary the Musical, off-Broadway at Theatre 5 in New York City. Amy Krivohlavek of Off Off Online wrote, “In the title role, Lauren Hauser showcases prodigious coloratura tones and a lovely, fragile presence.” Other original roles include Claudiette in Pompeii, directed by Tom Briggs of the Rogers & Hammerstein Organization. Other New York credits include Claire in the musical operetta, Villa Diodati, for the 2008 New York Musical Theatre Festival. In October, Lauren returned from her second contract in Japan playing a starring role at the Diamond Horseshoe Theatre at Tokyo Disney.

Lauren and her new husband, Clint, of Clint Wiley’s None Other, were married in November in Savannah, Ga, and Lauren has relocated to South West Florida. She plans to continue to perform professionally and in the community, as well as start a vocal studio specializing in musical theatre style voice. LaureneWiley.com
