{We're Here!}

We are having such a wonderful time in Las Vegas.  We have gotten to know Mike and Audrey a lot better and have had the chance to see a lot of our friends from previous trips and workshops.  We've also met some other super cool people.

Here's a quick pic from our impossibly long flight here and our fun taxi ride to the Photography Mentor party last night.  There was a photo booth at the party so we have some silly pictures to share once I get around our scanner.

Still ahead: several great seminars, lots more networking, a bludomain party, and hopefully so food (we've either been too busy to eat or too annoyed to wait an hour and a half to get into the restaurants).  Oh and I can't forget Cirque du Soleil's "O".  I can't wait it is supposed to be fantastic.  Sam's taking me Wednesday!

{Vegas Bound}

It's 6:49 and we are about to head to the airport to catch our flight to Las Vegas for WPPI.  WPPI is a major tradeshow and convention held in Vegas once a year.  It is also like a big high school reunion full of lots of get togethers and parties.  We missed last year because Miss Olive had just come into our lives.

We are so excited to go this year and meet lots of new people and look at lots of new products we can't afford to buy.  We will be gone all week and I know we will have some major catching up to  when we get back.  Love to you all!

{30 Things you may not know about Ashley}

1.  I am a white girl with African American hair.  I'm not joking.  I have the thickest coarsest hair ever seen on a white girl.

2.  I want 4 kids, but at the moment 2 seems quite enough.

3.  Along those lines.... I get HORRIBLE morning sickness when I'm pregnant.  I have to take prescription medication to keep me from vomiting even water.

4. I want to be on "Dancing with the Stars" sooooo badly.  I guess I need to work on getting famous.

5.  Pretty much everything in my house is made or re-made by moi.  I am quite crafty although I hate the traditional grandma type craft look.

6.  I used to want to live on a farm.  Not a working farm but the type where you just have cute animals and drink lemonade all day.   Yea, like that would happen.

7.  I love magazines but rarely read the articles.  I find most of them to be quite vulgar or simply incorrect.  I like the pictures and I like simple lists.

8.  I love going new places but hate the actual traveling part.  My legs and back always hurt really bad.

9.  I'm extremely afraid of being a bad mom and having my girls grow up with issues.  Everyone told me being a parent was hard but I didn't understand what they meant by that.

10.  I'm allergic to gluten which is found in: bread, pasta, soy sauce, most non-homemade soups, some gatorade, cookies, pizza, and everything else I love.  Thank God for the health food movement which has provided more options for people like me.

11.  It is rumored that there is a Y killing chromosone in my families genes which makes it only possible for us to have girls.  My mom has 4 sister (no brothers), I have two sisters (no brothers), and so far I have two daughters (and no sons).

12.  I get bored easily and consequently work too much.

13.  I think my husband is the most handsome man I have ever seen.

14.  I'm afraid of things that live in the ocean.  You won't find me snorkeling or diving.

15.  I don't like tans or tanning.  I think wrinkles and skin cancer are right around the corner if you do and people can definitely look orange in pictures if they tan too much.

16.  We don't have cable or satellite or anything.  Just the bunny ears antennas and now a digital converter box.

17.  I like Florida more than most people that live here but wish the natural side of it were a little more kid friendly.  I grew up running through the woods and playing in streams.  A little dangerous down here in FL.

18.  My favorite color right now is white.

19. I used to be fluent in Spanish.  I haven't practiced in a few years so I'm not sure what would come out if I had a conversation right now.

20.  My house is never clean.

21.  I hate mushy fruit.  I'm kind of a fruit snob.

22.  I hate conflict and forgive pretty easily.  Can't we just all be friends?

23.  I love the smell of lavender.

24.  My favorite Starbucks drink is a Chai Latte.

25.  I try to live my life in a way that is pleasing to God but mess up everyday.

26.  I think the no makeup look is over-rated (although I sport it regularly).

27.  I am a people pleaser so a negative word devastates me and a positive word is beyond motivating.

28.  I really really like tv and movies but don't watch too much of either.

29.  I am extremely close to my family but you know anything about me you probably already know that.

30.  I am bad at grammar.  I changed schools quite a lot and that part of my education was lacking.  If you've read the blog at all you definitely know this about me.

{He Said: She Said : Episode 1}

There are so many random things that Sam and I do each week and there just isn't enough time to write about them all and post the appropriate pictures.  So... we've decided to post a weekly video where we just ramble off all of our weeks happenings.  It's kind of like when the teacher made you write the essay test and you kept thinking, "Why won't she just let me come to her desk and tell her everything instead?"

{Isa's First Dance Class}

Having my daughters go to a dance class is one of my dreams.  My sisters and I grew up dancing and at one "point" I was very serious about ballet.  When we signed the lease at our new studio we noticed it was only a few doors down from a dance studio.  Immediately I got excited about the thought of Isabella in a tutu.  A few weeks ago Isabella experienced her first dance class.  The class she is going to is called a "Worship Class" and they learn the basics of dance movement and how to take instruction.  The video below is not too exciting but the fam has been hounding me, in the most lovely way, to post it.  Since this first class I am happy to announce that Isabella has improved her "Father Abraham" moves as well as the "happy belly-sad belly" exercise.
