[Back to the Basiks]
Sunday, March 15, 2009 at 10:29PM Friday we had a wonderful surprise when Tamra from Back to the Basiks stopped by to introduce herself and drop of some gluten free spices. Tamra had read on our blog that I can't eat gluten and thought it would be nice to come by and give us some spices to try. Well, it WAS nice. SO nice. Back to the Basiks is a company specializing in spices that are: gluten free, sugar free, additive free, and preservative free.
I chose the Key West Citrus blend spice since we have been eating more fish. I tried it on the fish for our fish tacos and the broccoli slaw that garnished the tacos. It was delicious and flavorful. Regardless of the face that these spices are gluten free they will now be my number one go to when cooking fish, chicken, and vegetables. I'm already thinking I need to get some of the other varieties for when I cook beef or italian.
